A walk along eco-trails

Forest Diva offers the opportunity to walk along numerous eco-trails through the forests of the Rhodope Mountains. The most popular walk is the one to the Christian Cross, built by Ivan Bahchevanski, the founder of Forest Diva himself together with a group of like-minded people, which gives an amazing view of the dam.
In the past, the area where Forest Diva is located was a neighborhood of the ancient village of Fortsovo, located just behind the Garvanik peak. Ancient roads, forgotten for centuries, have been preserved, passing through virgin forests that keep unknown secrets about the times when they were inhabited. The eco-trail to the Garvanik peak, which is located just above Forest Diva, offers a spirit-energizing walk.

From the top you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Vacha Dam and the picturesque ridges of the Rhodope Mountains. The name Garvanik suggests that the area is inhabited by a large species of mountain raven, found in places in Europe, Asia, North America and North Africa, but nowhere so numerous. In Bulgaria it is a rare bird, living at considerable mountain altitudes and is therefore listed as a protected species in the Red Data Book of Bulgaria.
